Welcome to Brookwood Elementary School!

My name is Melissa Culpepper and I have the honor as serving as Brookwood’s principal. I began teaching in 1999 after graduating from the University of Georgia. I love Georgia football! Go dawgs! I have had the privilege to teach at several Title I schools in our district and have experience teaching every grade level.

When I became the principal here in 2017, it did not take me long to realize how awesome it is to be a Brookwood Bronco! Our faculty and staff have the biggest hearts! We love our students as our own and partner with families to ensure we are meeting the needs of students academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our students have such school pride! They love their classes and the extracurricular opportunities that are offered. You can see them on any given day walking to class holding hands or helping a friend in need.

Our Direction Statement is: Inspiring excellence in all students so that they will GROW and achieve for a lifetime.

Our Purpose:

G-Going beyond expectations

R-Realizing individual differences

O-Overcoming obstacles

W-Working towards success of all

We look forward to partnering with you to ensure your child receives the best education possible. Teaching and learning are our passions! I encourage you to become involved in our school. Research shows that children who have parents that are involved in their education perform better. I would also encourage you to read to and with your child each and every day! It is the best thing you can do to support their learning.

If you ever have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here for you! We thank you for all that you do to support our school!

Your Partner in Learning,

Melissa Culpepper

We are excited to welcome Kelli Robertson as our new Assistant Principal!
