I am excited to be a part of this class community. This is my 22nd year teaching at Brookwood Elementary School, the best school in the CSRA!! I am a proud graduate of Augusta University. My undergraduate degree is in Early Childhood Education. As I quickly realized the need to teach students from diverse cultures with different learning styles, I acquired a master's degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College, and by the end of the summer, I will also have my specialist degree.I have also received my Gifted, English as a Second Language, and Math Endorsements.

My life outside of school is very exciting. I have a wonderful husband, four adult children, and six grandchildren. I enjoy Zumba, reading, and volunteering in the local community. I also love cheering for my biological and school kids at recreational sports activities.

If you visit our classroom, you will hear compliments, singing, and lots of questions and answers from the students. At different times you may see us dancing or even lifting light weights. We do all of this to learn. You are an important part of our learning community.
